What A Terrible Idea To Get Iverson For The Grizzlies

I'd like to know what went through the mind of Memphis' front office when they made the decision to sign Allen Iverson. It seems obvious that such a superstar will help you to sell a bunch of jerseys, but still, if you focus on the needs of the team, there is no way Iverson could help.

You have a bunch of young promising players, especially scorers like Rudy Gay and O.J. Mayo, and you add up an old veteran which needs to keep the ball to be productive. Moreover, Iverson owns a a great ego, the kind of ego superstars are made of. But I don't see Iverson getting back its superstar aura any time soon, as his career is going in limbo. Of course, he can still score, but can't be productive enough to be of any help at any team.

I hope Iverson won't disorganize the Grizzlies team, because it is still very weak and need stability to grow. Now Iverson must be able to work on himself, accept his role player profile.
